George Murray of Dune in Scotland, known to be operating from 1798, is the maker of this superb mahogany longcase clock with satin wood stringing to the case. The 8-day movement has a painted dial with tartan fan corners and an officer in uniform in the arch, which one assumes was the customer for whom the clock was made.
